Author : Nicholas Update：Feb 24,2025

Lost Soul Aside, a single-player action game, is finally launching on May 30th for PlayStation 5 and PC after a decade-long development journey. Initially a solo project by Yang Bing, it's now a major Sony-published title under their "China Hero Project," with Bing leading the Shanghai-based studio Ultizero Games.

IGN recently interviewed Yang Bing, discussing the game's evolution from a solo endeavor to a viral sensation following its 2016 trailer reveal at Sony's State of Play. The game has garnered significant attention, often described as a compelling blend of Final Fantasy aesthetics and Devil May Cry's dynamic combat system.

Through a translator, IGN explored the origins of Lost Soul Aside, its creative inspirations, the numerous challenges faced by the development team throughout the years, and much more.
