LEGO has unveiled nine exciting new Star Wars sets, all set to launch on May 1, 2025. These releases are part of Disney's extensive May the 4th (aka Star Wars Day) celebrations, where LEGO traditionally introduces a new Ultimate Collector Series Starship. In 2023, fans were thrilled with Luke's X-Wing Starfighter, followed by the TIE Interceptor in 2024.
This year, LEGO is bringing us Jango Fett's Firespray Starship, famously known to long-time Star Wars enthusiasts as Slave I (view it on the LEGO Store). The name was officially changed in 2021 at Disney's request, a change that LEGO has confirmed will continue. This shift, aimed at distancing from 'slave' imagery, marks a permanent update in the naming convention.

The most recent 'large' iteration of this iconic starship was released in 2019, celebrating its 20th anniversary with 1007 pieces, inspired by Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back. The new 2025 version, boasting 2970 pieces, reflects the ship's appearance in Star Wars: Episode II Attack of the Clones. This set is nearly three times larger than its predecessor, measuring 7.5 inches high, 17.5 inches long, and 15.5 inches wide.
