KonoSuba: Fantastic Days Global Server Shutdown After 3.5-Year Run

Another gacha game bites the dust! KonoSuba: Fantastic Days Global officially ended its service on January 30th, marking the end of a 3.5-year run. While the global version concludes, its Japanese counterpart enjoyed a longer lifespan of 5 years.

A Respectable Run

Developed by Sumzap and published by Nexon (later Sesisoft), KonoSuba: Fantastic Days Global enjoyed a respectable run for an anime-based gacha title, even amidst declining revenue in recent times. The developers demonstrated commitment until the very end, releasing voiced story updates and a final song just three weeks before the shutdown.

A Fitting Farewell

A farewell livestream in December, featuring Kazuma's voice actor, provided a memorable send-off. The Japanese version went above and beyond by archiving the entire main story on its YouTube channel, allowing players to relive the adventures of Kazuma and his crew. An offline version is also available in Japan, preserving the game's story, voice lines, and character collection.

Global Players' Options

Unfortunately, the global version lacks an offline mode and dedicated YouTube archive. However, global players can still experience the full Japanese story via the Japanese YouTube channel.
