Today marks the global launch of Alphadia III on Android, the latest installment in the acclaimed series from KEMCO and developed by EXE CREATE. The game, which hit the Japanese market in October of the previous year, introduces players to the final chapters of the Energi War, set in Alphadian Year 970.
What’s the Story in Alphadia III?
In Alphadia III, players are immersed in a world torn apart by a fierce battle over energi, a mysterious life force. The conflict involves three major powers: the Schwarzschild Empire in the north, the Nordsheim Kingdom in the west, and the Luminea Alliance in the east. As tensions reach their peak, the narrative shifts focus to a clone soldier named Alfonso, whose life takes a dramatic turn following a visit from a girl named Tarte, bearing news of another clone's death. This pivotal moment sets the stage for an engaging storyline filled with intrigue and action.
What’s the Gameplay Like?
The gameplay of Alphadia III retains the charm of turn-based combat viewed from a side perspective, presented in a nostalgic pixel art style. The mechanics include SP Skills, which build up during battles and can dramatically shift the course of combat if used strategically. Additionally, players can utilize Arrays, which are tactical formations that unlock as you progress, offering various approaches to combat based on the enemies you face.
A fresh feature introduced in this installment is the Energi Crock. By depositing surplus items into it during your travels, the Crock generates Energi Elements over time. These can be exchanged at shops for equipment or other valuable items, adding a layer of resource management to the game.
Throughout your journey, you'll encounter various factions such as the peacekeeping alliance Deval and the elite Nordsheim military unit Rosenkreutz. The game also introduces different energi clone models, including the Berger Series from Nordsheim and the Delta Series from Schwarzschild, enriching the world's lore.
Beyond the central narrative, Alphadia III offers a wealth of side content to explore, and the game is optimized for controller use. You can purchase the full version for $7.99 on the Google Play Store, or opt for the freemium version with ads, also available on Android.
