While you can build friendships with nearly everyone in *Fields of Mistria*, romance is exclusive to a select group of NPCs. As of the v0.13.0 update, you can pursue romance with 11 different characters, including the enigmatic Caldarus.
Each romanceable NPC has a heart meter that increases based on your interactions. To foster a romantic relationship with a specific character, engage with them regularly and cater to their unique preferences. Start by **conversing with them daily**, which can be seamlessly integrated into your daily routine around town. Consistent conversations can significantly boost their affection towards you.
Additionally, make it a priority to **fulfill their requests** posted on the town board. Completing these tasks not only helps the community but also provides opportunities to enhance their heart gauge.
Lastly, you can **give them gifts once a day**, choosing items they particularly enjoy. These preferences vary between characters, so you'll need to gather or craft items tailored to their tastes. On their birthday, ensure you give them a gift they adore, which will significantly increase their heart gauge.
Keep in mind that, currently, NPC heart gauges can only reach **six hearts**. A special cutscene will play once you achieve this level, hinting at a budding romance but not yet a full commitment.
According to the game's roadmap, future updates will introduce 8 and 10-heart events, along with options for marriage and children, ensuring your romantic journey in Mistria has a fulfilling future.

Juniper is a romanceable character in *Fields of Mistria*, often seen searching for unique witchcraft ingredients. When she's not out and about, you can find her at her bathhouse in the northeastern part of town.
To win Juniper's heart, focus on visiting her frequently, completing her town board requests, and gifting her daily. Juniper appreciates a variety of gifts, categorized into items she "likes" and "loves." Her birthday falls on the **26th day of Fall**, so make sure to gift her something she "loves" on that day for an extra boost to her heart gauge.
Be cautious, as Juniper dislikes all universal disliked items and **Sod**. Avoid giving her these to maintain a positive relationship.
