When Does the Open Alpha Begin?
The Splitgate 2 Open Alpha Test kicks off on February 27, 2025, and runs until March 2, 2025, for both console and PC platforms.
How to Join the Open Alpha:
Participating is easy! Simply follow these steps on February 27th:
- Go to your preferred digital storefront (Steam, PlayStation Store, Xbox Store, etc.).
- Search for "Splitgate 2".
- Download the Crossplay Alpha Test.
What Awaits You in the Open Alpha:
The Open Alpha will showcase the game's core cross-play functionality and introduce the thrilling new "Multi-Team Portal Warfare" mode. This mode throws 24 players (three teams of eight) into Splitgate's largest map yet, providing ample opportunity to test new weapons, perks, and equipment.
Expect the signature portal mechanics that defined the original Splitgate, allowing for creative maneuvers and strategic gameplay. While new classes with unique abilities are planned, the core portal gameplay remains central to the Splitgate 2 experience. Developer feedback has heavily influenced the game's development, promising a refined and impactful FPS experience.
