After weeks of eager anticipation and numerous questions from the player base, the development team behind Infinity Nikki has finally addressed the community's concerns. The launch of Version 1.5 on April 28th was met with criticism due to its perceived unfinished state. Acknowledging these issues, the team has admitted that they were not fully prepared for the rollout. As a result, they've made the decision to delay the much-anticipated Version 1.6.
When Is the Update Releasing?
Originally slated for release on June 4th, Version 1.6 has now been rescheduled to June 12th. In light of this delay, the current Bubble Season, along with its associated events such as Chase the Bubbles, Rainbow Album, and Where Are the Gifties?, will be extended until the new release date. This extension also applies to stores like Pear-Pal Selected/Store: Clothing, Heartfelt Gifts, and the Shake Up Bubble Jar! top-up event. Weekly tasks, including Starlit Pursuit, which was initially planned for May 20th, have been postponed to coincide with Version 1.6.
The developers have issued an apology, citing struggles with performance optimization across multiple platforms, including PlayStation. They are currently focusing on refining gameplay systems and have reassured players that missing storylines, such as Threads of Reunion, are not being abandoned but merely delayed.
Apart from the Version 1.6 Delays, What’s Up with Infinity Nikki?
The game has recently been plagued by a series of bugs, broken quests, and co-op malfunctions. In an attempt to mitigate these issues and retain player engagement, the team is offering daily compensation from June 5th to June 12th, consisting of 120 Diamonds and 1 Crystal per day. Players must log in daily to claim these rewards.
Some community members view this compensation as a last-ditch effort to boost engagement metrics following the recent missteps. There's also a sense of disappointment among players, as the apology was quickly overshadowed by promotional banners for new outfits.
