If you've forgotten the hint provided by Samin, your quest for the Rime Beetle will lead you to the Iceshard Cliffs region. Unfortunately, finding this creature isn't as simple as setting a waypoint on your map and letting your Seikret guide you there. Instead, you'll need to rely on your keen eyes and a bit of luck to spot a Rime Beetle in the wild.
The good news is, once you know where to look, it's not too difficult. Rime Beetles are known for rolling up balls of packed snow, making them relatively easy to spot in snowy areas. In the Iceshard Cliffs, focus your search in Areas 2, 7, 8, 11, and 13. As you explore these snow-covered zones, keep an eye out for these distinctive snowballs. If you notice tracks in the snow, following them can also lead you to a Rime Beetle.

While you can collect the Rime Beetle by hand or using the Hook Slinger, the goal here is to capture it. To do this, equip your Capture Net, which should already be part of your standard equipment. Hold L1/LB and scroll through your options until you select the Capture Net, then press Square/X to equip it. Aim with L2/LT, and when the Rime Beetle is in your crosshairs and they turn orange, fire to capture it. This will add the Rime Beetle to your collection and fulfill Samin's request.
If you choose to collect Rime Beetles the traditional way, you'll obtain Frost Pods instead, which can be used to inflict ice damage on your targets in *Monster Hunter Wilds*.
