Microsoft is set to bring Rockstar Games' Grand Theft Auto 5 to Xbox Game Pass and the enhanced version of GTA 5 to Game Pass for PC on April 15. This exciting announcement, detailed in an Xbox Wire post, marks a significant addition to the Wave 1 April 2025 lineup. The PC version of GTA 5 on Game Pass will include the newly released Enhanced update that Rockstar introduced in early March.
According to the official Xbox statement, players across all platforms will have access to the Oscar Guzman Flies Again update, which introduces new aerial missions and aircraft. You can take control of the McKenzie Field Hanger in Grapeseed, engage in arms trafficking missions, and experience more in-game activities. The arrival of GTA 5 on Game Pass in just a couple of weeks signifies a much-anticipated return, especially since the game was previously removed from the service.
While this is the first time GTA 5 Enhanced will be available on PC Game Pass, it's not without its challenges. The Enhanced version, released on PC on March 4, came with a free update featuring new vehicles, performance upgrades at Hao’s Special Works, animal encounters, and enhanced visuals. However, it also led to Rockstar’s worst-reviewed title on Steam due to account migration issues preventing players from transferring their GTA Online profiles to the new version.
New players diving into Los Santos for the first time should have a seamless experience, but returning players hoping to migrate their GTA Online accounts to the Enhanced version might face difficulties as the migration issues persist.
