To celebrate the release of the "Nyras Prologue" demo for the Gothic 1 Remake, THQ Nordic and Alkimia Interactive have unveiled an exciting new trailer. In a departure from the original Gothic, where players assumed the role of the Nameless Hero, the remake introduces us to Nyras, a prisoner navigating the game's unforgiving world. Despite this change, Nyras's objective remains unchanged: to survive and thrive amidst the game's challenges.
The demo, launched during the Steam Next Fest event, has broken records for concurrent players, surpassing all previous entries in the series:

This segment of the remake showcases enhanced graphics, animations, and a combat system powered by Unreal Engine 5. While the prologue offers a glimpse into the revamped world, it can't fully capture the extensive freedom of action and deep RPG mechanics that players will encounter in the complete game.
The Gothic Remake is slated for release on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC (available on Steam and GOG). An official release date is yet to be announced, keeping fans eagerly awaiting more updates.
