Future Marvel Rivals Seasons Will Feature Half the Content of Season 1

Marvel Rivals Season 1: A Double-Sized Debut

Marvel Rivals is kicking off its first season with a bang, boasting double the content of a typical season. This expanded launch, slated for January 10th at 1 AM PST, is attributed to the developers' decision to introduce the Fantastic Four as a unified group. Season 1: Eternal Night Falls promises a substantial amount of new content to explore.

Key features of Season 1 include:

  • Three New Maps: Explore iconic New York City locations: the Sanctum Sanctorum (available at launch, featuring the new Doom Match mode), Midtown (for Convoy missions), and Central Park (details to be revealed later).
  • The Fantastic Four Arrival: Mister Fantastic (Duelist) and Invisible Woman (Strategist) debut with the season launch. The Thing and Human Torch are slated for a mid-season update approximately six to seven weeks later.
  • Extended Season Length: Expect a three-month season, with a significant mid-season update.

The decision to release the Fantastic Four simultaneously resulted in a significantly larger-than-usual season, according to Creative Director Guangyun Chen. While the impact on future seasons' content remains unannounced, the current expectation is the addition of two new heroes or villains per subsequent season.

While the anticipation for Season 1 is high, some fans expressed disappointment over the absence of Blade. However, the possibility of his future inclusion remains open. With the abundance of new content and ongoing speculation, Marvel Rivals' future looks bright.
