The Follow-Up to Cards, the Universe and Everything Is Here, and It’s All About Monsters

Author : Isaac Update:Mar 21,2025

Rifts: they're usually trouble, right? But Avid Games has decided to embrace the chaos with Eerie Worlds, the highly anticipated sequel to the charming tactical CCG, Cards, the Universe and Everything. Get ready for some monster-fueled fun and a healthy dose of learning!

This time, the focus is on monsters emerging from those very rifts. Avid Games has crafted a visually stunning array of creatures, each inspired by real-world horrors from mythology and folklore.

Eerie Worlds Monsters

And the variety is incredible! From Japanese Yokai like Jikininki and Kuchisake to Slavic monsters such as Vodyanoy and Psoglav, Eerie Worlds boasts a truly global bestiary. Bigfoot, Mothman, the Nandi Bear, El Chupacabra—the list goes on and on! Each card includes a detailed and well-researched description, making the game both entertaining and educational.

Eerie Worlds features four Alliances (Grimbald, Zerrofel, Rivin, and Synnig) and multiple Hordes, adding significant tactical depth. Monsters share properties within Hordes, but not necessarily across them, creating diverse strategic possibilities.

Your personal monster collection, known as your Grimoire, can be upgraded by merging duplicate cards. Start with 160 basic cards, but merging unlocks many more, with even more on the horizon!

Eerie Worlds Gameplay

Avid Games promises two additional Hordes in the coming months, ensuring Eerie Worlds remains a constantly evolving challenge. Gameplay involves a deck of nine monster cards and one world card, battling it out over nine 30-second turns. Each turn demands strategic decisions regarding mana usage, synergy exploitation, and more.

Ready to dive into the fray? Eerie Worlds is available now for free on the Google Play Store and the App Store – download it here!
