Fauna Update Adds Friends Feature

Since its February release, The Art of Fauna has steadily become recognized as one of mobile gaming's more contemplative and artistically refined puzzle experiences. The game now introduces an additional community-focused element with Friends of Fauna—a free in-app program launching today.

Here's the process: Every month, players can submit a photograph of an animal. This could be a wild species, a working animal, or a cherished companion. One entry is selected monthly and transformed into that month's special puzzle. For the program's debut, the chosen puzzle features a Spectacled Bear, photographed and submitted by Denis B.

The latest update also brings a set of new app icons, each dedicated to particular community members. Valentin receives a Snow Leopard icon, Vidit and Benedict share a Lion, Shiven is represented by an Orca, and Thomas is honored with a Northern Gannet.

For those unfamiliar with The Art of Fauna, it offers a peaceful puzzle experience blending classic wildlife illustrations with adaptable gameplay. Players can solve puzzles by assembling the visual image or by reconstructing a descriptive text, discovering interesting animal facts during play.

Every illustration in the game is sourced from 18th and 19th century scientific publications by naturalists such as John James Audubon and John Gould, celebrating both the aesthetic appeal and historical significance of wildlife art. The game also supports a meaningful cause—a percentage of all sales contributes to global wildlife conservation initiatives.
