"Event Horizon: Dark Descent - Awaited Movie Prequel Released"

Almost three decades following its initial cinematic release, Paul W.S. Anderson's *Event Horizon* is expanding its universe with a prequel. IDW Publishing has announced *Event Horizon: Dark Descent*, a gripping five-issue comic series that delves into the harrowing events preceding the film and unravels the mysterious fate of the Event Horizon's original crew.

The creative team behind *Dark Descent* includes writer Christian Ward, known for *Batman: City of Madness*, and artist Tristan Jones, acclaimed for his work on *Aliens: Defiance*. The series is enhanced by Pip Martin's vibrant colors and an array of stunning cover art by Ward, Jeffrey Alan Love, Martin Simmonds, and Joshua Hixson.

Embracing the hard-R rating of the shocking movie, EVENT HORIZON: DARK DESCENT #1 (of 5 issues) will lightspeed jump into comic shops this August.
