This surprise announcement brings the Dying Light spinoff to players in just a few short months, reuniting them with fan-favorite protagonist Kyle Crane after his absence from the 2022 sequel. Alongside the release date reveal, Techland shared an exciting new gameplay trailer that showcases the brutal combat options available as players fight through hordes of infected using every weapon imaginable.
In its official description, Techland describes *Dying Light: The Beast* as a unique fusion of **open world exploration and intense action survival horror**. The story unfolds in the treacherous expanse of Castor Woods — a deadly valley where survival hinges on your ability to master every tool at your disposal."You are Kyle Crane. Captured by the Baron and subjected to years of torturous experimentation, you finally break free," reads the official synopsis. Dying Light: The Beast serves as a standalone entry within Techland’s expansive post-apocalyptic universe.
