Before you can dive into "Under the Straw Hat," you must first initiate the "In Vino Veritas" side quest, which begins in Kuttenberg. Upon arrival, seek out Casper Rudolf, who's offering free wine samples on the west side of the city. His aim is to refine his wine, and he needs your help to gather information.

You have two paths to acquire the necessary wine knowledge: directly approach Havel and impress him with your wine expertise, or retrieve Casper's book from Adleta and study it. If you choose to meet Havel directly, ensure you're dressed in fine attire and well-groomed. During your conversation, select "Germany," "Steinberger," and "It's missing ginger" as your responses to extract the needed information. Relay these details back to Casper.

Access the Vineyard

Casper then directs you to infiltrate the vineyard north of Kuttenberg to learn more about the incense mentioned by Havel. Avoid wandering through the fields to prevent trespassing charges. Instead, follow the main road and speak with the recruiter at the vineyard entrance, who will introduce you to the "Under the Straw Hat" quest. Continue along the road, passing a guard, until you find Jerome seated on a bench. Inform Jerome that you've been instructed to report there, and he will brief you on working at the vineyard.

Working at the Vineyard

Your employment at the vineyard begins the following day. After a night's rest, return to the vineyard in the morning. To earn your wages, you'll need to move sacks to their designated spots and collect plants like Thistle around the vines. However, if your focus is solely on the secret incense, head straight to the wine cellar in the main building's basement, where you first met Jerome.

Accessing the cellar requires either a lockpick or stealing the keys from Jerome. Locate a chest within the cellar and retrieve all the Sulphur Wicks inside, completing the primary objective. For an enhanced reward, consider also collecting seedlings for Casper. From the main building's entrance, proceed straight to the opposite door to find the seedlings. Be swift in your actions as this area is off-limits, even to workers.

If you choose to work, meet Jerome at day's end to collect your pay. Alternatively, return to Casper with the Sulphur Wicks and, if applicable, the seedlings.

Successfully completing these steps will allow you to finish both "Under the Straw Hat" and "In Vino Veritas" quests in *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*, paving the way for further adventures like "Master Schindel's Toys."
