Don't Nod, the French studio behind Life is Strange, has launched the initial chapter of their new narrative adventure. Players can currently experience "Tape 1," with "Tape 2" launching freely for all purchasers on April 15th.
Initially unveiled in 2023, the game centers on a close group of friends shattered during the summer of 1995. Twenty-seven years later, the specters of that summer resurface, unleashing unforeseen and terrifying repercussions.
Blending nostalgic charm with psychological thriller elements, the game draws inspiration from titles like It, Yellowjackets, and I Know What You Did Last Summer. The game's structure is divided into two parts: "Bloom" and "Rage." Currently, only "Bloom," the first half of this captivating story, is accessible (as of February 18th).
"The Tape," encompassing the second half, will be released on April 15th. Initially planned for March, the release was delayed to refine the overall experience.
The review embargo has concluded, with OpenCritic reporting an average score of 74/100, suggesting a promising start for this suspenseful mystery.
