Blastoise Event Boosts Rewards for Pokémon TCG: Pocket

The Pokémon TCG Pocket app's Blastoise Wonder Pick event continues with a new wave of cosmetic rewards! Part two of the event is now live, offering players a fresh batch of Blastoise-themed goodies.

The in-game shop boasts new items: a Blastoise icon, coin, card sleeves, and a stylish Blue and Blastoise playmat. These can be purchased using Event Shop Tickets earned by completing event missions. Don't miss out – while the shop remains open until January 28th, the event itself concludes January 22nd, meaning no more tickets after that date.

Following a flurry of holiday giveaways, the event provides a welcome opportunity for players to earn new rewards. Many players have already completed the Mythical Island booster packs and are eagerly anticipating the next expansion (rumored for late January). The ability to use Pack Hourglasses in future expansions encourages players to stockpile them.

This second phase offers a chance to obtain these exclusive Blastoise cosmetics. Players can also exchange excess event tickets for Shinedust (50 Shinedust per ticket, up to 1000 Shinedust total).

Blastoise Wonder Pick Event: New Rewards & Details

The first part of the event (January 6th onwards) introduced promo cards featuring Squirtle and Charmander, boasting unique artwork despite identical attacks to their standard counterparts. These, along with a Blue and Blastoise backdrop and cover, remain available. New missions focusing on Wonder Pick participation and collecting Fire/Water-type cards provide additional Event Shop Tickets. The Bonus Pick also rewards tickets, simplifying item acquisition. Daily logins are crucial for completing all missions and securing these limited-edition cards, especially considering the rumored inability to trade promo cards. All missions from both event parts are cumulative.
