How to Complete All Arata Stages in GHOUL://RE
Unlocking the three Arata stages in GHOUL://RE requires dedication and a significant amount of Reputation grinding. Here's how to achieve this sought-after armor set.
Arata Stage 1 in GHOUL://RE
To start, you need to amass 25,000 Reputation points and reach the rank of Special Investigator within the C.C.G. organization. Head to the C.C.G. center and locate Damiro D. Mado on the second floor. He will assign you the Arata Stage 1 quest, which requires collecting 10 one-eyed fragments and 10 Kokuja fragments.

The most efficient way to obtain these fragments is by defeating bosses such as Eto and Tatara, and then crafting them at the crafting table. To check your Reputation, speak with Saiyo Natsuki, the NPC in a black suit and tie. Once you have all 20 fragments, convert them into five one-eyed Kokuja fragments at the crafting station. If you struggle with bosses, refer to our GHOUL://RE Boss and raid guide for tips.

Return to Damiro, who will direct you to speak with "him." The community puzzled over this, but "he" is actually Black Reaper of Doom And Despair. Our guide on all NPC locations in GHOUL://RE can help you find him easily.
Arata Stage 2 in GHOUL://RE
For stages 2 and 3, you'll need to play in permadeath (PD) mode to unlock the legendary Arata-Proto armor. Team up with a strong group, as solo missions can be challenging.
Once you've gathered 100,000 Reputation points, head to the elevator in the C.C.G. building and go to the Laboratory. There, you'll find Black Reaper of Doom And Despair next to the door, dressed in a black suit with a scalpel. Hand over five one-eyed Kokuja fragments and your 100,000 Reputation to complete Stage 2.

There's been debate about the necessary Reputation points, with some suggesting 75,000 or 90,000-100,000. From our experience, 100,000 Reputation points ensure success. Remember to play on PD servers for both Stage 2 and Stage 3, or you won't progress.
Arata Stage 3 in GHOUL://RE
The final stage also involves Black Reaper of Doom And Despair and requires one one-eyed Kakuja fragment and 500,000 Yen. In PD mode, visit him at the C.C.G. building, pay the fee, and he'll teleport you to face Kishou Arima.
Defeating Kishou Arima requires average gaming skills, involving plenty of jumping, dodging, and dealing damage. While challenging, it's achievable with practice. Be prepared for multiple attempts, as each retry requires another one-eyed Kakuja fragment and 500,000 Yen.

Upon defeating Kishou Arima, you'll unlock Stage 3 Arata-Proto armor. Be mindful, though; while powerful, Arata armor drains your hunger quickly and prevents eating while equipped.
Arata Armor Tips & Tricks
Arata-Proto Armor Buffs
Arata armor provides significant advantages but comes with drawbacks. It drains your hunger rapidly and prevents eating while worn, so you'll need to remove it to replenish. However, it offers crucial benefits, including immunity to being ragdolled, making it a game-changer in combat.

Arata also boosts your character's durability, making you "tanky" and capable of withstanding and dealing heavy damage. Be cautious, as the armor will consume your health bar if your hunger depletes during fights. Remove it if necessary to heal.
Reputation Grinding
The quickest way to accumulate the required Reputation is by defeating bosses in PD mode, earning 1,500 Reputation per boss compared to 500 outside PD. Killing Ghouls yields only 100 Reputation per kill, making them less efficient for Arata quests.
