Sony has unveiled an exciting trio of games for PlayStation Plus Essential subscribers in April 2025: RoboCop: Rogue City (PS5), The Texas Chain Saw Massacre (PS4, PS5), and Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth – Hacker’s Memory (PS4). These titles were announced via a PlayStation.Blog post and will be available to download from April 1 until the next update on May 5.
The April lineup caters to a variety of gaming tastes. RoboCop: Rogue City stands out as a highlight, offering players a first-person shooter experience where they step into the shoes of Alex Murphy to combat crime in Detroit. The game received a significant update in January of the previous year, introducing a New Game Plus mode, and earned a respectable 7/10 in our review at launch.
For fans of intense multiplayer action, The Texas Chain Saw Massacre provides an asymmetrical horror experience developed by Sumo Digital and Gun Media. Players can either try to survive or become part of the Slaughter Family, aiming to capture the terrifying essence of facing Leatherface. Our review gave it a 6/10, noting its challenging yet entertaining gameplay.
To balance the adrenaline rush, Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth – Hacker’s Memory offers a more relaxed pace with its turn-based monster collecting gameplay. This 2018 release by Bandai Namco allows players to explore a vast digital world, meet over 320 Digimon, and experience the events of the original Cyber Sleuth from a fresh angle.
As these new titles become available, PlayStation Plus subscribers should also take note of the March 2025 lineup, which includes Dragon Age: The Veilguard, Sonic Colors: Ultimate, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Cowabunga Collection. These games are available until March 31, providing a strong incentive for both subscribers and potential new members to add them to their libraries before they're gone.
