When Is Applin Debuting in Pokémon GO?

The Sweet Discoveries event kicks off on April 24th at 10:00 a.m. and will run through to April 29th at 8:00 p.m. local time. The highlight of the event is the debut of Applin, a Grass and Dragon-type Pokémon hailing from the Galar region.

To evolve Applin, you'll need 200 Applin Candies. For Flapple, you'll also require 20 Tart Apples, while Appletun requires 20 Sweet Apples. Applin's final evolution into Dipplin, and ultimately Hydrapple, will add exciting new dimensions to your Pokémon roster.

Tart and Sweet Apples, essential for Applin's evolution, will appear in the wild. Tapping on these apples might reward you with either a Tart Apple, a Sweet Apple, or even Applin itself. Your chances of encountering these apples increase significantly around areas with Mossy Lure Modules.

Applin is unique in that it spends its entire life inside an apple, cleverly disguising itself to evade its natural predators, bird Pokémon. With its adorable appearance, Applin is undoubtedly one of the cutest Pokémon you'll encounter in Pokémon GO.

During the Sweet Discoveries event, you can snag new avatar items from the in-game shop, including an Applin Headband and an Applin Apron. Additionally, enjoy the event bonus of 2× Candy for every Pokémon you catch.

Your chances of encountering Shiny Delibird and Shiny Skwovet in the wild will increase, and you'll have a better shot at hatching Shiny Delibird, Shiny Cherubi, and Shiny Skwovet from 7 km Eggs.
