Among Us 3D Launch Set for May 2025, Wishlist Campaign Unveiled

Arriving May 6

Schell Games and Innersloth, the developers and publishers behind Among Us 3D, have announced the game’s official launch date. A post on the game’s Twitter (X) account on April 16 confirmed that Among Us 3D will debut on May 6, 2025.

Originally called Among Us VR, the game was rebranded to Among Us 3D to deliver a more expansive experience, featuring cross-play multiplayer. This week, developers introduced Stardust, a new permanent currency that offers players greater flexibility in customizing their experience.

Among Us 3D includes a new Tag Mode with an Infected role, built-in proximity voice chat, limited-time events, a mix of new and classic mini-games, and a variety of fresh cosmetics.

To clarify, Among Us 3D is distinct from Among Us VR, released in 2022, and the two games do not support cross-play. According to the FAQ on Schell Games’ website, Among Us 3D is an entirely separate title.

The developers noted, "Keeping the versions separate during development ensures we can deliver high-quality updates for Among Us VR while crafting a tailored, top-tier experience for PC players."

Wishlist Campaign

Among Us 3D is now open for wishlisting on Steam, accompanied by the Powered By Wishlists Challenge from Schell Games. Players can unlock in-game rewards by hitting specific wishlist milestones, including:

While details on the final two milestone rewards remain undisclosed, players can anticipate exciting in-game items to kick off their crewmate adventures. Among Us 3D is slated for release on PC on May 6, 2025.
