2025 Oscar Noms Unveiled: Pérez, Wicked, The Brutalist Shine

The 97th Academy Awards nominations are in, and Emilia Pérez is the frontrunner, receiving a record-breaking 13 nominations—the most ever for a non-English language film.

Rachel Sennott and Bowen Yang announced the nominations on January 23rd during a live stream on the Oscars YouTube channel. Jacques Audiard's Spanish crime thriller, Emilia Pérez, garnered nominations across major categories, including Best Picture, Best Director, and Best Lead Actress (Karla Sofía Gascón).

Wicked and The Brutalist closely followed with 10 nominations each, while Conclave and A Complete Unknown secured eight.
