Story

Your adventure begins near the quiet village of Riders, where three young friends—the hero, Lilia, and Cheval—discover a glowing egg hidden deep within a forest. With playful curiosity, they recreate the ancient Rite of Kinship, only to be stunned when it actually works!

The egg hatches, revealing a baby Rathalos—a majestic flying wyvern known as the “King of the Skies.” The trio lovingly names him “Ratha” and brings him back to the village to raise together.

But peace doesn't last long. One day, the village is attacked by a monster corrupted by the mysterious “Black Blight.” Though the villagers manage to drive it away, the incident leaves deep emotional wounds—especially on Lilia and Cheval.

A year passes, and the hero is gifted a Kinship Stone by the Village Chief, officially becoming a Rider. Meanwhile, Lilia and Cheval each set off on their own paths. Now joined by the cheerful Navirou, the hero embarks on a thrilling new journey across the world of hunters.

  Due to changes in Google Play Games services, the Network Battle feature is no longer supported as of March 31, 2020. However, all Titles previously earned through Battle Ranks remain accessible after updating to Ver.1.0.2.
• To use the app, users must accept the Monster Hunter Stories End User License Agreement upon first launch.
• This version presents the same story introduction as the handheld console edition.
• Some features from the console version—such as select collaborations, amiibo support, local multiplayer battles, and StreetPass functionality—are not available in this mobile release.
• Deleting the app will result in permanent loss of saved game data.
• The app requires a Wi-Fi connection for downloading and installing updates.
• Battle Party QR codes from the Japanese version are not compatible with this international release.
