Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 is canceled for being subpoenaed and progressive

Activists have targeted the upcoming Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 following the discovery of subpoenas within the game's code, sparking a campaign to cancel the project.

The controversy gained traction after online reports surfaced regarding the game's ban in Saudi Arabia, fueling speculation about its content and alleged "progressive" themes. This led to a wave of online attacks against the developers, with calls to boycott the game and punish the studio for its perceived ideological leanings.

Warhorse Studios' PR manager, Tobias Stolz-Zwilling, responded to the controversy, urging the public to rely on official statements and avoid unverified online claims.

Stolz-Zwilling confirmed that review codes will be distributed in the coming days, following the game's December gold master status. These codes are expected to be released approximately four weeks prior to launch, allowing streamers and reviewers ample time to prepare their content.

Interestingly, the first "final previews," based on review copies, are anticipated just a week after the initial code distribution.
