When you embark on any activity, Hibou allows you to check-in, keeping your loved ones informed about your whereabouts and status. Utilizing advanced GPS technology and customizable timers, Hibou empowers you to engage in all your favorite activities—from climbing local mountains to skiing or traveling the world—without any worries. Simply activate the activity button in the app, set a timer for up to 24 hours, and enjoy your adventure. Upon your safe return, end the timer effortlessly. If you need more time, extending the timer is as easy as pressing a button.

In situations where you're in distress and unable to seek help on your own, Hibou steps in to support you. If your timer runs out before you return, your pre-selected contacts will receive notifications with your last known location, ensuring that help is dispatched promptly.

Hibou also offers a daily automated wellness check service, providing peace of mind to your loved ones. At scheduled times once or twice a day, you can report your well-being through the app, website, or phone system. If you miss a scheduled check-in, Hibou will send reminders via app notifications, emails, and phone calls. After a grace period and additional reminders, if you still haven't reported, your circle members will be notified of your missed check-in.

For immediate assistance, Hibou features a help button that, when pressed, sends your GPS location and a notification to your contact list. While calling 9-1-1 is crucial in emergencies, alerting your family and friends can often be the most appropriate initial response.
