This game builds on years of research into literacy science. It integrates crucial literacy components including Phonological Awareness, Letter Recognition, Phonics, Vocabulary, and Sight Word Reading to help children establish a solid reading foundation. Centered around caring for monster pets, it aims to foster empathy, perseverance, and socio-emotional growth in young learners.

ABOUT US

Feed the Monster received funding from the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs through the EduApp4Syria competition. The original Arabic version was created through collaboration between Apps Factory, CET – The Center for Educational Technology, and IRC – The International Rescue Committee.

Feed the Monster was adapted to English by Curious Learning, a nonprofit organization committed to providing effective literacy resources to those in need. Our team of researchers, developers, and educators works to deliver evidence-based literacy education in children's native languages – and we're expanding the Feed The Monster app to over 100 impactful languages worldwide.
