A simple non-field RPG: Escape the cursed forest. This game challenges you to survive a mysterious forest.
Prologue: You're the village's best hunter, heading to a national hunting tournament. Upon waking after your first night camping, you discover something unsettling: the camp is deserted. All the other hunters are gone. The national guard, responsible for overseeing the tournament, has vanished too. Your attempts to retrace your steps only lead you back to the same spot, highlighting the strange nature of the forest.
The Elven Curse: With the help of a quarter-elf named Foria, you must escape this cursed forest. Gameplay is incredibly streamlined, using a maximum of three buttons outside the main menu.
Character Creation: While you can't manually customize your character, you can repeatedly reroll stats until you're satisfied. Your stats' growth rate upon leveling up is only visible on this screen; it's not viewable in-game. Losing all your life force means game over. You'll need at least two "talismans" to avoid this.
Foria, the Peddler Quarter-Elf: A mysterious boy (or is he?) who aids your escape, using the forest's ancient spirits.
Game World: The prologue unfolds like a visual novel. Foria's dialogue is cheerful, contrasting with the game's overall subdued, evocative atmosphere.
Exploration: Progress involves exploring unexplored areas of the forest. The outcome of each exploration attempt depends on the "fog depth" and your character's stats. If your life force is depleted, use poison or rare "talismans" to recover, or return to Foria.
Beast Encounters & Hunter Battles: The forest is teeming with creatures, from wolves to surprisingly aggressive frogs and rabbits. Defeating them yields hides for trading with Foria. Unlike most RPGs, combat doesn't grant experience points; the goal is simply escape. All battles are avoidable (though this requires luck or skillful play). As a hunter, you use a bow and arrow. Maintaining distance lets you attack safely, but closing the gap risks a one-sided assault. You can either withdraw or use a "flash" ball provided by Foria to escape.
Cloak & Layering System: You craft cloaks from gathered materials (branches, resin, leather), layering up to three for stat boosts and occasional life force restoration. Note: your top layer can be damaged and destroyed. This is the only equipment change in the game.
Game Features: This isn't your typical RPG. It focuses on the experience of playing, featuring:
- Random skill selection.
- Reflex-based gameplay, strategic thinking, and a reliance on skill and luck.
- Material gathering, synthesis, and alchemy.
- Thorough preparation before each stage.
- Auto-save (though not during battles). Closing the app in the base menu is recommended for secure saving.
Version 1.2 Update (December 18, 2024): Fixed a bug causing unexpected transitions to character creation. Previous updates addressed typos and minor bugs.

Really enjoyed the atmospheric feel of the cursed forest. The puzzles were challenging but rewarding. Would love to see more backstory on the curse itself!
