READY! for Kindergarten stands as the premier school readiness program from The Children's Reading Foundation, tailored specifically for children aged 2 to 5, or older children who might be lagging in core skills. This innovative program is designed to set your child on the path to future learning and academic success through engaging, interactive gameplay.

The READY! for Kindergarten app features a variety of games, each focused on developing a specific core skill essential for school readiness. These games are crafted for repeated play, understanding that young children thrive with hundreds of repetitions in a loving and supportive environment. To learn more about the skill each game targets, simply touch the "i" icon located in the lower right corner by each game icon.

As your child engages with the games, the app tracks their progress and sends this data to the reports section. Here, you can monitor your child's development in specific skill areas, with the app benchmarking their achievements against other children of similar age across the U.S. This feature allows you to identify and focus on areas where your child might need extra support.

For children aged 2 to 5, the app's games are designed to teach them to sing the ABC song, match letter shapes, pronounce letter sounds, expand their vocabulary, count to 30 by rote, and recognize emotions. These activities lay a solid foundation for their educational journey.

The backbone of the READY! program consists of 26 Age-Level Targets, which are measurable skills that a typical 5-year-old should master before starting kindergarten. These targets were meticulously developed over seven years by early learning experts, in collaboration with families, scientists, and educators, ensuring a research-based approach to school readiness.
