Clapperboard is a cutting-edge tool that enables you to record videos using any camera, such as CCTV, web cameras, action cameras, or even built-in drone cameras, and then confirm their authenticity and authorship through blockchain technology. To get started, you'll need to create an account on Clapperboard and ensure your balance is recharged.

Here's how you can create an authentic video:

  1. Comment the Video: Add a comment to the video you are about to record.
  2. Request a QR-Code: Generate a unique QR-code through the Clapperboard platform.
  3. Show the QR-Code on Camera: While recording the video, make sure to show the QR-code on camera.

The QR-code and your comment will then be permanently recorded in the NEM blockchain. Once the video is recorded, you can retrieve it from your camera.

To verify the video's authenticity and ensure it hasn't been modified post-recording, you need to:

  • Upload the Video Fragment: Upload the part of the video that contains the QR-code to the http://product.prover.io/ service.
  • Get the Certificate of Authenticity: Upon successful verification, you will receive a Certificate of Authenticity detailing the video's integrity and confirming that it was created after the QR-code was generated.
