Kevin Conroy's Final Role Unveiled in New Devil May Cry Anime Trailer by Netflix

Author : Claire Update:May 05,2025

Get ready for some thrilling demon-slaying action because Netflix is bringing the iconic video game series "Devil May Cry" to life with an exciting new anime adaptation. The anticipation is building as Netflix has released a brand-new trailer, giving fans a sneak peek into what promises to be a gripping series. Adding to the excitement, the legendary voice actor Kevin Conroy will posthumously lend his voice to the show, marking another posthumous performance after his acclaimed role in "Justice League: Crisis on Infinite Earths: Part 3" back in July 2024.

Kevin Conroy, renowned for his iconic portrayal of Bruce Wayne and Batman in numerous animated series and films, will voice the character VP Baines in "Devil May Cry." You can catch a glimpse of his voiceover at the beginning of the trailer, adding depth and gravitas to the series. Conroy's untimely passing in November 2022 at the age of 66 makes this performance especially poignant, and fans are eager to experience his artistry one more time.

Joining Conroy in the cast are Scout Taylor-Compton as Mary, Hoon Lee as White Rabbit, Chris Coppola as Enzo, and Johnny Yong Bosch taking on the role of the central character, Dante. According to the official synopsis provided by Netflix, "Sinister forces are at play to open the portal between the human and demon realms. In the middle of it all is Dante, an orphaned demon-hunter-for-hire, unaware that the fate of both worlds hangs around his neck."

Shankar has also been slated to executive produce an adaptation of "Assassin’s Creed," although that project, announced in 2017, has yet to materialize. Fans remain hopeful that it will eventually come to fruition.

The production of "Devil May Cry" is in the capable hands of Studio Mir, a reputable South Korean studio with a track record of success on projects such as "The Legend of Korra" and "X-Men ‘97." Mark your calendars because "Devil May Cry" will be available to stream on Netflix starting April 3, 2025.
