Piston requires a separate ELM327 Bluetooth or WiFi adapter to function as a car scanner. It's compatible with OBD-II (OBDII, OBD2), and EOBD standards. Most vehicles sold in the USA since 1996, the EU since 2001 (petrol) / 2004 (diesel), Australia and New Zealand since 2006 (petrol) / 2007 (diesel) support OBD2.

Important: Piston only accesses data your vehicle provides through the OBD2 standard.
