The Peak Hunters application offers an ever-growing database of peaks across the Czech Republic and several neighboring countries. With GPS on your mobile device, you can log your ascent to a peak and earn a point rating based on the mountain's altitude and the difficulty of the climb. You can also add your own ratings and photos for each peak you conquer. The app displays all peaks on a clear map, allowing you to filter them by country, mountain range, or proximity to your current location. To ensure you stay on track even in remote areas, you can download offline map data, which is crucial due to potential weak signals in mountainous regions. These maps are powered by OpenStreetMap and include tourist routes. If you come across a peak that's not in our database or plan to visit a new hill, you can add it by long-pressing on the map. Once approved, the peak will appear in the database, and you'll earn bonus points for your contribution. Peak Hunters also features an expanding collection of statistics and collectible badges. You keep the badges you've earned, and you'll receive special recognition for rare ones. For each peak, you can check the current weather forecast, aiding in your trip planning up to 48 hours in advance. Another handy feature is the ability to identify a mountain top by simply pointing your phone at it, with the correct distance filter set. The app can be used in an anonymous mode, known as incognito mode, which functions identically to the registered mode but does not allow profile transfers, logouts, or profile restoration if your device is lost or data is damaged. We recommend trying the app in incognito mode before converting to a registered profile. Peak Hunters contains no ads or fees and was created out of a passion for hiking and collecting peaks, with the essential feature of offline map downloads. You can now manually switch between dark and light modes, with this setting adjustable on your profile screen. If you encounter an error, miss something in the app, or have other feedback, you can reach us directly through the in-app form. We value all feedback. There is no associated website; the application is fully functional on its own without the need for a website.
