Palace - Free Classic Card Game (AKA Shed, Karma or "OG")

Palace, a timeless card game that dominated my high school's study hall and cafeteria in the 90's, has gained widespread popularity, particularly among backpackers, according to Wikipedia.

New Features in the Latest Update:

• We've listened to your feedback and added the ability to pick up the pile at any time and introduced the rule where a 7 forces lower cards to be played.
• Now you can challenge your friends in real-time matches, adding a new layer of excitement to the game.

Gameplay Experience:

Dive into the world of Palace and choose to play against eight distinct computer characters, each with their unique strategies, or connect with friends for a live showdown.

Basic Rules:

At the start, each player receives three 'face down cards', which remain a mystery until the game's end. Then, three 'face up cards' are placed on top of these. Finally, players are dealt three cards to form their 'hand'. You have the option to swap cards from your 'hand' with your 'face up cards'.

The player holding a 3, or the next lowest card, kicks off the game.

During your turn, you must play a card (or multiple cards of the same rank) that matches or exceeds the top card on the discard pile. After playing, draw from the deck to maintain at least three cards in your hand, unless the deck is depleted or you already have three or more cards.

Special cards add twists to the game: 2's reset the pile, 10's and four of a kind clear it entirely.

If you can't play a card equal to or higher than the top card or a wild card, you're obligated to pick up the entire pile.

Once your hand is empty and the deck is exhausted, transition to playing your face up cards. After clearing those, proceed with the face down cards.

The thrill of victory awaits the first player to shed all their cards.

Palace is also known by other names such as Shed, Karma, or "OG".
