Upcoming Pokemon GO Event Adding 2 New Paldean Pokemon

Pokemon GO's Fashion Week: Taken Over event, launching January 15th, introduces Shroodle and Grafaiai. This event, running until January 19th at 8 PM local time, features these Gen IX Pokemon alongside a special research quest to rescue Shadow Palkia.

Shroodle, a Poison/Normal-type, hatches from 12km eggs, evolving into Grafaiai with 50 candies. Team GO Rocket's presence increases, offering opportunities to remove Frustration from Shadow Pokemon using Charged TMs. Snapshots may yield a fashionable Croagunk encounter.

Event Highlights:

  • New Pokémon: Shroodle (12km Eggs), Grafaiai (Evolution)
  • Surprise Encounter: Croagunk (Fashion Week outfit)
  • Increased Team GO Rocket Encounters: PokeStops and Balloons
  • Charged TM Utility: Remove Frustration from Shadow Pokémon

  • Shadow Palkia Rescue: Special Research quest.
  • Shadow Pokémon Encounters: Taillow, Snivy, Tepig, Oshawott, Trubbish, Bunnelby.
  • Shadow Raids: One-star (Nidoran♀, Nidoran♂, Totodile, Ralts); Three-star (Electabuzz, Magmar, Wobbuffet). Remote Raid Passes are enabled.
  • Field Research: Rewards include Mysterious Components, Charged TMs, and Fast TMs.
  • Collection Challenges & Showcases: Event-themed activities.
  • In-game Shop Bundle: 300 coins for an Incubator, Rocket Radar, and Premium Battle Pass.
