Riyo Games' upcoming turn-based JRPG, Threads of Time, a nostalgic yet modern tribute to classic titles like Chrono Trigger and Final Fantasy, is coming to Xbox and PC! This exciting announcement was made during the Xbox showcase at Tokyo Game Show 2024.

Currently in development for Xbox Series X/S and Steam (PC), Threads of Time boasts stunning 2.5D pixel art and captivating anime cutscenes. While a release date remains unconfirmed, the game is generating considerable buzz, anticipated to rival the critically acclaimed Sea of Stars as a spiritual successor to Square Enix's Chrono series.
"Our goal at Riyo Games is to create retro-inspired RPGs that evoke cherished childhood memories," the studio stated in a recent press release. "It all began with a promise between two kids, playing RPGs after school, to one day create amazing adventures together."
Players will journey through diverse eras, from the age of dinosaurs to a futuristic world of robots, unraveling a sinister plot that threatens the very fabric of time. A diverse and charming cast awaits, including Rye (a swordsman from 1000 AD), Bo (a veterinarian from 12,000,000 BC), Rin (a kitsune from 2400 AD), and more.
