Finnish game developer Supercell has surprised fans with a twist on their cancelled RPG, Clash Heroes. While the original game is officially defunct, it's being reborn as Project R.I.S.E., a multiplayer action RPG roguelite.
The Scoop: Clash Heroes is gone, but not forgotten!
Supercell confirmed the closure of Clash Heroes, echoing the fate of Clash Mini. However, instead of abandoning the concept entirely, they've reimagined it. Project R.I.S.E. retains the Clash universe setting but transforms into a social, multiplayer experience.
In a recent announcement video, game lead Julien Le Cadre stated that Clash Heroes is cancelled, but Project R.I.S.E. is a multiplayer-focused action RPG built within the Clash universe.

Project R.I.S.E. shares some DNA with Clash Heroes but is a completely new game. It's a social action RPG roguelite where three players cooperate to ascend The Tower, facing unique challenges on each floor. Unlike its predecessor’s solo PvE focus, Project R.I.S.E. emphasizes team play and diverse character interactions.
Currently in pre-alpha, Project R.I.S.E. is slated for its first playtest in early July 2024. Interested players can register on the official website for a chance to participate.
