During Shift Up's IPO press conference on June 25, CFO Ahn Jae-woo shared exciting news. He stated that the company is "actively exploring a PC version of Stellar Blade, which we believe will be an excellent opportunity to further monetize the IP." This move is influenced by the current PS5 distribution landscape and the shifting consumer base of AAA games towards PCs, as reported by GameMeca and translated by Game8.

CEO Kim Hyung-Tae further elaborated on this, confirming that the company is "currently reviewing the Stellar Blade PC version." However, due to contractual obligations, he couldn't provide a specific release date. This aligns with the company’s public filings, which mention considerations for both a PC release and a sequel to the successful IP.

Kim also emphasized the company’s goal with Stellar Blade was to "create a high-value IP to build global brand recognition and cultivate a dedicated fanbase." To achieve this, they deliberately avoided microtransactions, ensuring the brand remains untarnished. Kim expressed their intent to communicate this approach clearly to the fans.

Future Updates and Collaborations Are Imminent!

Beyond the PC release, Stellar Blade has an exciting update and DLC roadmap planned for the year. Fans can look forward to a Photo Mode in August, new costumes in October, and a major collaboration to be announced later this year.

Regarding the collaboration with Goddess of Victory: NIKKE, Kim stated they are "exploring various opportunities to create positive synergy between the IPs, with promising results expected soon."
