In a recent interview with Decider, Jerome revealed that he hasn't even recorded any lines for the movie yet, stating, "No, I wish. We haven’t started up yet. A lot of things being figured out, but good things." This news comes as a slight disappointment, especially considering the five-year gap between the first film and "Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse," which was released in 2023.

According to Deadline, the earliest release date for the film is projected to be 2026, though maintaining the pace of the previous film's release schedule might push it to 2028.
