It's important to note that the footage showcased was captured during the pre-alpha stage, meaning that while the final gameplay may evolve, enhancements in graphics and animations are assured.
As a direct sequel to the original, *The Sinking City 2* falls into the survival horror genre, continuing the narrative in the city of Arkham. This time, Arkham is engulfed by a supernatural flood, leading to its deterioration and transformation into a breeding ground for monstrous entities.
To bolster development and ensure the project's success, Frogwares has initiated a Kickstarter campaign with a funding target of €100,000 (about $105,000). The collected funds will not only aid in expanding the game's development but also allow for rewarding loyal fans and inviting players to participate in playtesting, thereby refining the game to its utmost potential before its launch. The game is being crafted using the cutting-edge Unreal Engine 5.
*The Sinking City 2* is slated for a 2025 release, and will be available on the latest generation of consoles, including Xbox Series and PS5, as well as on PC via platforms like Steam, Epic Games Store (EGS), and GOG.
