Geoff Keighley's Tweet Sparks Speculation Among Hollow Knight: Silksong Fans

Could This Hint at a Gamescom 2025 Opening Night Live Reveal?

Hollow Knight: Silksong may have secured a spot in the Gamescom 2025 announcement lineup. Veteran host Geoff Keighley shared a selfie wearing a removable red clown nose, referencing a self-aware meme popular within the Silksong community. The caption, "First time?" followed by a clown emoji, included a call to watch Opening Night Live (ONL).

While some might view this as another sign of Silksong's absence, fans argue it's a positive indicator that developer Team Cherry will finally make an announcement during the show. Last year, ahead of Gamescom 2024 ONL, Keighley gave a direct update to set expectations:

"Just to get this out of the way, no Silksong on Tuesday at ONL," he stated. "@TeamCherryGames is still cooking."

The absence of a similar disclaimer this year has led many to believe Keighley is playfully acknowledging the long wait, offering a nod to fans who have eagerly awaited news since the initial release window was announced.

Gamescom takes place in Cologne, Germany, with Opening Night Live starting on August 19 at 11 AM PT / 2 PM ET. For the complete streaming schedule and other anticipated game reveals, explore our detailed article below!
