Round one of the PUBG Mobile World Cup is complete, with the main event coming soon

PUBG Mobile's Esports World Cup tournament has concluded its first stage, leaving 12 teams vying for a share of the $3 million prize pool. Twenty-four teams initially competed, but only half advanced to the final stage.

This weekend's PUBG Mobile World Cup action saw Alliance emerge as the leading team. The remaining 12 teams will enjoy a one-week break before the final stage commences from July 27th to 28th.

The Esports World Cup (EWC), a Gamers8 spin-off in Saudi Arabia, successfully brought major esports titles to the region, with PUBG Mobile being a prominent participant. While the EWC generated significant buzz, the PUBG Mobile World Cup isn't the largest event on the game's esports calendar, suggesting potential for overshadowing by future events.

However, the excitement continues! From July 23rd to 24th, the 12 eliminated teams will compete in the Survival Stage for two coveted spots in the final stage. This promises to be a thrilling showdown.
