The Grey Heron awaits in the Wakasa region, near Lake Suigetsu, during winter and daytime. Head to the cluster of islands west of the lake. Approach cautiously, as the terrain is flat. Dismount at a distance, walk to the marked area, and sneak up on the heron to complete your Sumi-E.

Legendary Macaque – All Seasons, Nighttime

For the Legendary Macaque, travel to the Yamashiro region and locate the Little Leaf Glade sub-region. Find the Sarumaru Shrine near the mountains. Wait for nighttime, then climb the stairs to the top where you'll find the three wise monkeys. Capture this serene moment with your Sumi-E.

Legendary Silver Fox – Autumn, Nighttime

The legendary Silver Fox can be found at night during Autumn in the Kii region, specifically at the Nakahechi Route sub-region. Visit the Kamimisu Inari Shrine, known for its fox statues, and you'll spot the Silver Fox at the cliff's edge. Approach stealthily and capture this majestic creature in your Sumi-E.

Legendary Deer – Spring, Nighttime

To find the Legendary Deer, journey to the Yamato region and head to the Yoshino sub-region. The nearest fast-travel point is the Mountain Blossom Temple to the west. Follow the path east to reach the Sakura Meadows. Climb the slopes to a clearing where you'll find the deer, ready to be immortalized in your Sumi-E collection.
