Pokémon Unite features six ranks, each subdivided into multiple classes for granular progression. Higher ranks naturally contain more classes than lower ones. Crucially, rank progression only occurs in ranked matches—quick or standard matches won't affect your rank.

All Pokémon Unite Ranks Explained

Beginner Rank (3 Classes)

Great Rank (4 Classes)

Expert Rank (5 Classes)

Veteran Rank (5 Classes)

Ultra Rank (5 Classes)

Master Rank

Getting Started

To enter the ranked fray, you'll need to reach Trainer Level 6, achieve a Fair Play score of 80, and own five Pokémon licenses. Once you meet these requirements, you'll begin your ranked journey in Beginner Rank.

Performance Points and Diamond Points

Your performance in ranked matches earns you Performance Points (5-15 points per match based on individual score, plus bonuses for sportsmanship, participation, and winning streaks). Each rank has a Performance Point cap. Reaching this cap awards a Diamond Point per match, crucial for rank advancement. Here's the breakdown:

  • Beginner Rank: 80 Points
  • Great Rank: 120 Points
  • Expert Rank: 200 Points
  • Veteran Rank: 300 Points
  • Ultra Rank: 400 Points
  • Master Rank: N/A

Advancing and Rewards

Four Diamond Points elevate you to the next class within your rank. Maxing out your rank's classes propels you to the next rank. You gain a Diamond Point for each ranked match victory and lose one for each loss. Players with maxed Performance Points also earn a Diamond Point per match.

End-of-season rewards include Aeos Tickets, the currency for the Aeos Emporium, with higher ranks yielding more tickets. Specific ranks also offer rotating seasonal rewards.

Pokémon Unite is available now on mobile devices and Nintendo Switch. Good luck climbing the ranks and dominating the battlefield!
