Onimusha: Way of the Sword has the best State of Play trailer

The most captivating trailer from the recent State of Play showcase undoubtedly belonged to the new Onimusha installment. Onimusha: Way of the Sword introduced its protagonist, Miyamoto Musashi, whose striking resemblance to legendary Japanese actor Toshiro Mifune is instantly recognizable. The trailer depicts Musashi’s thrilling battles against demons erupting from hell into the heart of Kyoto, punctuated by moments of humorous, almost desperate, attempts to evade his monstrous foes.

The story reveals Musashi’s transformation into a wielder of the Oni Gauntlet, a power granted through faith. He must now confront the demonic horde plaguing the mortal realm, absorbing their souls to replenish his health and unleash devastating special abilities.

A remastered trailer for Onimusha 2 was also showcased, providing a stark visual comparison that underscores the remarkable advancements in graphics technology over the years.
