Nintendo's comeback coincides with their upcoming next-generation Switch 2 console launch. While confirmed for SGF, the company may opt for announcements rather than a full stage show - potentially sharing Switch 2 details and game trailers for the new system.

Xbox Games Showcase Potentially Featuring Everwild and State of Decay 3

Xbox continues its annual showcase tradition during Summer Game Fest weekend. Beyond expected reveals like Call of Duty and Gears of War: E-Day, fans anticipate two particular titles:

State of Decay 3, first announced in 2020, showed development progress with an in-game asset trailer during 2024's showcase. Xbox CEO Phil Spencer expressed enthusiasm in a February 2025 interview, praising the team's approach to development.

Spencer also highlighted Rare's Everwild, the 2019-announced IP described as offering "a unique and unforgettable experience in a natural and magical world." His recent Rare studio visit suggests the project is advancing well, potentially warranting a showcase appearance - though official confirmations remain pending.
