MMORPG Afterglow Brings New Features and Balancing Updates in Latest Update

Shadow Council PTY launched a closed alpha test in July for their upcoming post-apocalyptic idle MMORPG. As the inaugural official project from this independent Australian studio, the game is currently undergoing open beta testing. Today, the development team released Version 0.2.17 of MMORPG Afterglow.

This latest update is now live for testers on both Android and iOS platforms, introducing fresh content, quality-of-life improvements, and various balance adjustments.

One immediate change you will notice is the revamped Actions screen, which now displays the total remaining time before ongoing activities conclude.

The developers have expanded the item information system by adding an industry tab. This feature reveals where items are utilized and includes a convenient buy option to streamline shopping.

Players experiencing stale connections no longer need to stare at empty screens; a new popup provides helpful gameplay tips during downtime.

Combat has also received enhancements, featuring a new movement animation on the fight screen that makes each skirmish feel more dynamic.

Meanwhile, Shadow Council has reworked the in-game Market with search options and additional categories for containers and vanity items. Returning from exploration will no longer reset your map position.

The team has organized New item notifications for cleaner management. You can now track currency gains and losses more clearly during transactions.

On the crafting front, you can perform repetitive actions multiple times consecutively. Certain recipes, such as those for Steel, Brass, and Tanned Leather, no longer require specific prerequisites to produce.

Crafting times for basic tools like threads and needles have been reduced. Armour stats have also been tweaked; Leather Armor is now classified as chemical armour, and the Arcade Revenant Armor has received a stat boost.
