NetEase has unveiled the major updates for the second half of Marvel Rivals Season 1: Eternal Night Falls. On February 11, 2025, they announced the arrival of Human Torch and The Thing, along with a rank reset, in a detailed blog post.

Mark your calendars for February 21, 2025, when the Fantastic Four lineup will be fully represented in Marvel Rivals. Human Torch will join as a Duelist, while The Thing will take on the role of a Vanguard. Alongside these new characters, NetEase is set to implement significant balance adjustments that are "expected to shake up the battlefield during the second half of Season 1." While some superheroes will receive buffs or nerfs, the specifics of these adjustments remain undisclosed for now.

Previously, Mister Fantastic and Invisible Woman debuted in the first half of Season 1 as Duelist and Strategist, respectively. The season also introduced three new maps, special events, and a thrilling new game mode called Doom Match.
