TouchArcade Rating:
Addressing a valid criticism regarding my coverage of Marvel games, I've decided to dedicate this Marvel Minute to highlighting recent updates in Marvel Future Fight and Marvel Contest of Champions. Both games boast exciting new events.
In Marvel Future Fight, Iron Man takes center stage! This event, inspired by Invincible Iron Man, introduces new outfits for Tony Stark and Pepper Potts. Here's a summary from the patch notes:
"Invincible Iron Man has arrived in Marvel Future Fight.
Engage upgraded suits to defeat enemies!
New Uniforms: Iron Man, Rescue
New Tier-4 Advancement: War Machine, Hulkbuster
New Legend+ World Boss: The Black Order's Corvus & Proxima return!
New Custom Gear: C.T.P. of Liberation
200 Crystals Event: Link your email for 200 crystals!"
Shifting focus to Marvel Contest of Champions, new events often introduce playable characters, and this update is no exception. The roster continues to expand with some truly unique additions. The patch notes detail:
"NEW CHAMPIONS
Count Nefaria: A Maggia crime syndicate leader with enhanced abilities gained through scientific experimentation and later resurrected as an ionic energy being.
Shathra: Daughter of Oshtur and Gaea, originating from Loomworld, driven by vengeance against her sister.
NEW QUESTS AND EVENTS
Event Quest – Lupus In Fabula: A mission to evict villains from The Collector's ship.
Side Quest – Ludum Maximus: Games and challenges hosted by Count Nefaria, featuring randomized paths and foes.
Act 9; Chapter 1 – The Reckoning: Following Glykhan's self-destruction, the Summoner investigates clues related to Ouroboros.
Glorious Games Saga: A four-month celebration featuring a classical antiquity theme, champion reworks, and new events.
Realm Events: Global collaborative events with milestone and ranked rewards."
Both Marvel Future Fight and Marvel Contest of Champions offer compelling updates. If you're a lapsed player or new to these titles, now's a great time to jump in. Personally, I'm eager to try out Count Nefaria—his nefariousness is undeniably appealing!
