Lies of P: Overture Revealed During Sony State of Play 2025

The highly anticipated prequel to the acclaimed souls-like action RPG, Lies of P, titled Lies of P: Overture, was officially announced during Sony’s State of Play 2025 broadcast. Set to launch in the summer of 2025, this DLC expansion will be available across PC, PlayStation, and Xbox platforms. You can catch a glimpse of what's in store with the gameplay trailer below.

Lies of P has captivated gamers with its unique reimagining of the Pinocchio fairy tale, infused with the challenging gameplay reminiscent of Bloodborne. The game received a solid 8/10 from IGN, where we praised it for playing the souls-like genre "extremely well."

Lies of P: Overture is the gripping prequel to the acclaimed souls-like action RPG, Lies of P. It transports players to the city of Krat during its final days, a time marked by the haunting beauty of the late-19th-century Belle Époque. As the Puppet Frenzy looms on the horizon, you'll follow a Legendary Stalker—a mysterious guide—through untold stories and chilling secrets. Playing as Geppetto’s deadly puppet, you'll navigate through Krat and its surrounding areas, uncovering hidden backstories and engaging in epic battles that will shape the past and future of Lies of P.

Neowiz, the publisher of Lies of P, had already teased the game’s first DLC and confirmed plans for a sequel. Lies of P achieved remarkable success, selling one million copies within less than a month of its launch on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and S, PC via Steam, and Mac via the Mac App Store on September 18, 2023.
